These terms cover the SocoTrades website and app, which is designed to help tradespeople find and manage jobs.

Who operates SocoTrades

Using SocoTrades

Keep your trade, business and qualification details accurate. Use the service lawfully and share information only when you have the right to share it. Do not impersonate anyone, post misleading information, or attempt to access another person’s account or data.

Arranging and carrying out work

If you arrange a job through SocoTrades, the people or businesses agreeing to the job are responsible for its scope, price, payment, cancellation and any dispute. SocoTrades provides tools for finding and organising work. Each trade professional is responsible for their own work and for holding any licences, qualifications and insurance the job requires.

Business and identity checks

A Companies House or HMRC check shows what the relevant register returned at the time of the check. It does not establish that someone owns or represents a business. An identity check concerns the person and documents submitted. These checks do not establish trade competence, insurance or suitability for a job.

Availability and changes

Some features are in development and their availability may change. Keep your own copies of important job records and agreements. We will publish updates to these terms here and communicate material changes through the service where appropriate.

Your rights

These terms do not affect rights that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded or limited. Read the privacy notice for information about personal data.
